The monthly lectures will be held at the Ark Christian Fellowship Hall. Doors open at 16.00 and the lectures start at 16.30. These are free to members and we welcome guests at a charge of €5.

27th Feb: The Drama Group will be giving a short performance before the lecture starting at 15:30 Murder, Mayhem and the English Language Dee Beckett : The extraordinary history of the Oxford English Dictionary. How the Oxford English Dictionary was first compiled and the mysterious character who gave it so many words and definitions.
26th Mar: The Indian Mutiny Chris Beckett: The playing fields of Eton, sabres, skirts and missionaries. How the Mutiny erupted, the bravery, the slaughter and the legends that emerged. |
