PROSPECTUS 2012 - 2013

A number of our courses are held in cafes, and other venues, including Group Leaders homes. Maps for these venues are linked (private accommodation excluded). Some venues are not suitable for those with restricted mobility. Please check at Registration or Enrolment for information.

Cafes are made available to us free of charge. Group members should bear this in mind when using these venues and support the owners who oblige us in this way. In no circumstances should members take their own food and drink to these venues

Psychology Discussion Group

Digital Photography Made Easy

This is a complete photography course for both beginners and enthusiasts. It includes everything from an understanding of cameras to techniques used to produce photos at professional level. The course also involves practical sessions with everything explained in easy to understand terms. Notes are provided online. All you need is your camera!

Mah Jong

A compelling table game that originated in China in the late nineteenth century and has been played in Britain since the early part of the twentieth century. Easy to learn and a pleasure to play MahJong offers scope for the exercise of skill but includes a significant element of chance. It has evolved into a distinct number of variations; however British MahJong Association Rules apply to the game as played here.

There is a one off charge of 5€ for notes.

This course will cover the basic steps needed to be able to use E Readers. From navigating your way round the reader to uploading books from major suppliers such as Amazon and WH Smith, to finding a wealth of material that is available for no charge on the internet, such as Guggenheim Press and Penguin. An Ereader would be an advantage and I can help with choosing one if required prior to the Course.
