U3A COSTA DEL SOL

U3A Costa del Sol is the operational name of the 'Asociación Learning for Pleasure – Costa del Sol' . It aims to promote learning for personal fulfilment and pleasure. It is run by the members for the members and whose Group Leaders are volunteers who share their interests and expertise with other members.

No qualifications are required or awarded and is open to all English-speaking adults of any nationality and age.

We are guided by the Aims and Principles of the University of the Third Age in the UK :
- The word "university" is used in its original sense of people coming together to share and pursue learning in all its forms.
- Members share their knowledge and experience and develop their own capabilities by learning from each other

We need Group Leaders to thrive and I would encourage all of you to consider what you may be able to contribute in this area. If there is something that you are interested in the chances are that someone else is too and would enjoy the opportunity to share it with you. Don't be intimidated by the thought of giving a presentation as most of our groups don't involve this. But if you are interested then we have material and can offer guidance and assistance, so think about it and let us know.

Ian Phillips	Prospectus 952 494 172	Prepares and distributes the September and January prospectus; Prepares timetable for Lux Mundi.
	Publicity Officer	Responsible for announcements in local press, etc. and finding advertisers for the newsletter and prospectus.

Peter Pearson	Equipment Manager	Responsible for all U3A equipment and co-ordiantes logistics for monthly lectures.
